It’s fantastic to see the humble bicycle become a more valuable commodity; it gives people the freedom to enjoy their permitted daily exercise, as well as enabling key workers to commute to work and keeping essential services operating.
Across the cycling industry there has been a sudden spike in the demand for bicycles and bicycle service/repairs, leading to suppliers running short of stock. Coupled with staff shortages in distribution centres and logistics suppliers prioritising the health sector, we are seeing delays in the supply chain when ordering/sourcing bicycles and spare parts.
We too have seen unprecedented demand from both existing and new customers, many of whom are key workers, as well as the emergency services, for bicycle servicing.
Whilst we endeavour to collect, service and return your bicycle in the 48-72 hour window, unfortunately due to the current conditions, there may be some delays to the return of your bicycle.
As a small business, we rely on delivering great customer service and quality work to compete with the larger bicycle chains. We are extremely grateful for your custom and your support, especially during these testing times. We would just kindly ask for your understanding if there are some delays to the return of your bicycle.
Our team are working tirelessly to get your wheels turning again. We are recruiting additional staff to carry out logistics and provide bicycle servicing, as well as expanding our customer service team, so we can improve communications with you.
And, like me, I hope that you are looking forward to the pure pleasure of riding a freshly serviced bicycle, in cleaner air and almost traffic-free roads. Let us hope this trend continues, long after the lockdown ends.
